|Expertise - Deborah Saline is a senior level public relations–marketing executive. She has more than 30 years of leadership experience building highly effective programs for major corporate, educational and health care organizations. An accomplished communications expert, her vision and delivery of performance outcomes have controlled crisis situations, driven brand awareness, built consumer and media respect and resulted in measurable outcomes.
Leadership - Recognized nationally and regionally in her profession as a dynamic strategist, she has advanced both the practice of public relations and enhanced the reputations of her clients. She is equally recognized for her issues and crisis management leadership during times demanding clarity.
Organizational Depth - Offering a visionary blend of strategic, creative and operational strengths, Deborah has managed and controlled crisis situations ultimately saving, even improving client reputations and has grown fledgling communication programs into viable entities through accomplished communications leadership and style. She has had a significant impact on outcomes through personal leadership, as well as with good, old-fashioned hard work, communications skills and marketing prowess.
Experience – Deborah has been a clear, guiding light in crisis and issues management situations successfully managing issues around biomedical/ethical problems, animal rights, including product recall, employee-related issues, unionization, wrongful death and cultural issues.
Professionalism – She is a founding member of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and has just completed seven years as a member of the national Universal Accreditation Board (UAB) appointed by the Public Relations Society of America. Saline was an active board member as the UAB reengineered the profession’s Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations.
She is a Fellow in PRSA’s College of Fellows, one of only 400 in the world. Becoming a Fellow is a professional hallmark of achievement demanding a balanced portfolio of service, significant success, and leadership. She is the recipient of numerous awards in the communications industry including the coveted Frederick E. Leuschner Award, saluting excellence in public relations awarded by the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of PRSA, and the Ernest R. McDowell Award for excellence in Public Relations, given by the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society. Throughout her career, Saline has received awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Pennsylvania Public Relations Society (PRSA) and other professional organizations recognizing her expertise.
Commitment – Saline has a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Point Park University, Pittsburgh, and a master’s in journalism from Temple University. Philadelphia. She is a frequent speaker at colleges and universities in the central Pennsylvania region and has authored numerous articles in communication. Deborah and Robert Saline frequently provide Accreditation PowerPlays for the Public Relations Society of America, helping professionals demonstrate their knowledge, skills and abilities through the accreditation process at the regional and national levels.
