PRworks is excited to announce the addition of Lauren Gorbey to our team as a coordinator and designer.

She graduated magna cum laude from York College of Pennsylvania in 2019, earning a double-major bachelor’s degree in public relations and graphic design with a double-minor in visual communications and advertising. She is savvy in all things communication and design with expertise in research, brand development, social media, email marketing, advertising, community outreach, events, web design and graphic design.

After earning her degree, she worked full-time for the downtown revitalization nonprofit Main Street Hanover, where she was a part-time coordinator during her undergraduate studies. While at Main Street Hanover, Lauren managed the downtown Hanover brand; maintained relationships with over 50 downtown businesses in a variety of industries; developed and implemented a downtown event series; led fundraising efforts; and served on four organizational committees. She also acted as interim executive director for three months.

“Lauren is passionate about fusing together marketing, communication and design to transform ideas into tangible results,” said our partner and senior counselor Jason Kirsch, APR. “She brings to PRworks a fresh creative energy and a broad set of talents that will benefit long-time clients as well as new partnerships that are on the horizon. She also is a perfect fit with our values and entrepreneurial culture, which is built on integrity, trust, collaboration, attention to detail and continuous learning.”

Lauren resides in York with her husband Nick and their dog Gemma and cat Penelope. She is excited to come on board full-time, as she was a freelance designer for us for two years prior and was taught by Jason during her undergraduate studies at York College. So she is no stranger to PRworks, our values and our team!
